Our History
Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Malachite Management was founded in 1996 by Canadian visionary Allen Eaves, MD, PhD, who dedicated his life to the study of leukaemia and stem cell research. After working in the field for over 25 years, Allen saw the need for an association management company that was not only business savvy, but also had a strong understanding and connection to the bigger mission of medical and scientific research and care.
Our team’s industry knowledge — coupled with their scientific background and advanced business and communications degrees — ensures that your association grows, while making a positive change in healthcare, business and scientific discovery.

Malachite Management
With over 35 years of combined experience, Malachite Management's Senior Leadership plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of the company. They lead by example, demonstrating strong ethical values, integrity, and a strong work ethic. With their strategic acumen and decisive decision-making, our Senior Leadership values long-term partnerships and invests in building strong relationships with clients based on mutual respect, open communication, and shared success.
Sharon Leung, BBA
Managing Director
Ms. Leung is the Managing Director of Malachite. She is also the Executive Director of the the American Society for Apheresis. She brings over a decade of association management experience at Malachite, serving in management positions on most client teams. Her key strengths are in operations, governance, marketing and advertising.
Paul Kool, BSC, AIT
Director of Operations & Financial Services
Mr. Kool is the Director of Operations and has worked at Malachite Management for 11 years. With a background in operations, information systems, science and commerce, he manages the core systems used by all staff, and related special projects. Mr. Kool's key strengths include systems deployment, building relationships and getting results.
Paul Fogerty, BA
Director of Conferences and Events
Mr. Fogerty oversees conferences and events. He and his team produce large-scale medical and scientific conferences across North America, Europe, Asia and down under. Mr. Fogerty strengths include negotiating, logistics, project management, special event planning, on-site execution, and exhibitor/sponsor support.
