INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF NURSES IN CANCER CARE

The International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC), founded in 1984, is an international federation of:

  • National cancer nursing societies
  • Regional cancer nursing societies
  • Oncology institutions
  • Individual cancer nurse practitioners, researchers, and educators
ISNCC has over 60 member groups, representing 42 countries. Globally, ISNCC represents over 80,000 cancer nursing professionals.

ISNCC is a non-governmental member of the World Health Organization (WHO), is affiliated to the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the International Union Against Cancer (UICC), and is a member of the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO).

The mission of ISNCC is the protection and preservation of health and the relief of cancer related sickness, and the promotion and coordination of the activities of cancer nursing through the advancement and improvement of:

  • The delivery of nursing care to people affected by cancer
  • Education in cancer nursing
  • Nursing research, including the publication of the useful results of such research
