Ms. Wirk is an experienced international Association Executive, having served as the Executive Director for the American Society for Apheresis (2005-2008), Executive Director for the International Liposome Society (2005-2008), Co-Executive Director for the International Society for Cellular Therapy (2006), Project Director for the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (2007-2008), and Managing Director for The Stem Cell Partnering Series (2007-2008).

Ashka brings particular strength and focus in the area of fundraising and sponsor development; when she served as Malachite’s Director of Industry Relations, she consistently delivered record-breaking sponsorship success to Malachite’s clients and led the development of Malachite's revenue development department.

Ashka received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia (1999), then a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in marketing and finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University (2002).

Ashka began her career as a Research Associate with the UBC Bio-Imaging Centre, then led marketing and sales as Business Development Manager with AgriForest Bio-Technologies, before joining Malachite in 2005. Ashka is currently a member of the American Society for Association Executives and Association for Fundraising Professionals.
